Chef – Modern Mexican Concept
Itzchel is seeking a strong, organized, and creative kitchen leader to help lead and grow our modern Mexican restaurant concept. We focus on elevated Mexican cuisine rooted in tradition while delivering a refined dining experience with high standards of execution, consistency, and hospitality.
We are looking for someone who is:
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong during service under pressure
• Organized with prep, inventory, and kitchen systems
• Passionate about Mexican cuisine and ingredient-driven cooking
• Able to lead and hold a team accountable professionally
• Clean, efficient, and detail-oriented
• Interested in menu development and seasonal creativity
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and service execution
• Manage prep, station organization, and kitchen cleanliness
• Assist with menu development and specials
• Train and lead kitchen staff
• Maintain food quality and consistency
• Help control food cost, waste, and inventory
• Ensure health and sanitation standards are met
Qualifications:
• Previous leadership experience in a high-volume or upscale kitchen preferred
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Experience with Mexican cuisine is a plus
• Ability to work nights and weekends
