Position Overview The Director of Content will lead the content and copywriting functions that power our revenue engine across all channels. You will own the messaging strategy and voice that converts prospects into customers and customers into advocates, from the first ad impression through post-purchase and subscription loyalty. This role manages a team of copywriters developing content across direct response, performance marketing, and lifecycle channels. You will serve both our Brand and Direct Response functions, balancing brand-building initiatives with performance marketing needs. This is a high-impact leadership role with visibility across the entire organization. Responsibilities Own messaging strategy and brand voice across all customer touchpoints Lead and build a team of copywriters across direct response, performance marketing, and email/SMS functions Develop copy for landing pages, VSLs, ads, email campaigns, product pages, and review sites Create ad copy frameworks for Meta, TikTok, Google, Bing, and native advertising platforms Drive email and SMS copy strategy to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion Partner with the Creative Director to ensure copy and visual creative elements work together seamlessly Establish copy testing frameworks and drive a culture of continuous optimization Ensure all content meets FTC compliance standards for the supplement industry Support new product launches with compelling copy across all channels Collaborate with Product Development to translate ingredient science into customer benefits Qualifications 7+ years of copywriting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role Proven track record in direct response and performance marketing, ideally in health, wellness, or supplement industries Experience managing and developing copywriting teams Deep understanding of customer psychology and what makes people buy Ability to write across formats: long-form VSLs, short-form ads, email, landing pages, and social Data-driven mindset with experience using copy testing and analytics to improve performance Familiarity with FTC compliance requirements for health and supplement marketing Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Experience with DTC ecommerce subscription businesses preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment Perks & Benefits Competitive base salary, $176,000-$197,000+ performance bonus Flexible time off + 9 annual company holidays Your Birthday is a paid vacation day - take the day to celebrate your awesomeness! 100% company-paid base plan Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for employees 100% company-paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability Coverage 3% Employer contributions to 401(k) regardless of employee participation!
