The Extended Day Proctor provides supervision for a program of after school care for lower school and middle school students from 3:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday when school is in session. The program could also include scheduled half-day and/or full-day sessions when lower school/middle school is not in session, but school is open. This is a permanent part-time position of up to 15 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with the development, coordination, and conducting of an engaging after-school program consisting of supervised play (both outdoor and indoor), study/homework time, creative activities, and snacks for lower/middle school studentsConduct activities as prescribed in the programInteract with the children to support play and learning activitiesProvide supervision and classroom management for students in the programAssist in the purchase of supplies and materials needed for the programMaintain an enrollment system for the Extended Day (School Year) programManage sign-in/out sheetsMonitor and help track students signing in and out for music lessons and enrichment activities and communicate with music teachers and enrichment program providersSupervise daily snack timeQualificationsPersonal attributes include the ability to adapt quickly to ever-changing group dynamics settings, must be friendly and even-tempered.Must have documented experience in providing child care and/or experience in an educational/social science field.Work/volunteer experience in an educational setting is preferredMust be at least 21 years of ageOther RequirementsAbility to lift and move boxes of files, office supplies, materials, etc. up to 25 lbs. as neededFirst Aid/ CPR Certification or willingness to take 6-hour certification courseKey SkillsInterpersonal/collaboration skillsCommunication skillsTime management skillsProblem solving skillsPatience, particularly with engaging and supporting children of different ages and needsDemonstrated leadership skills, particularly with children in a group or individual settingSalary: $26 - $28 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr Bullis School
