Position Summary

The company is seeking an exceptional Industrial Design leader who is highly hands-on and creative, focused on consumer products.

This is an on-site position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, reporting to the Senior Industrial Designer.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design and Development

The individual in this role will:

• Create design concepts, production-ready artwork, 3D models, renderings, physical prototypes, and technical documentation.
• Work on secure storage products and golf equipment.
• Design innovative, competitive, and cost-effective products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with:

• Senior design
• Engineering
• Sales
• Marketing
• Customer service
• Quality control
• Manufacturing partners in the U.S. and Asia

Ensure that all designs are successfully transitioned into production.

Strategy and Innovation

• Analyze competitors, market trends, consumer needs, and retailer requirements.
• Accelerate time-to-market.
• Lead material and process innovation to balance cost efficiency with product innovation.

Travel

• Domestic and international travel, including Asia, up to approximately 10%.
• Attend and support trade shows and industry events.

Education and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of product design experience
• Preferred background in golf equipment, safes, or similar consumer products
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

Tools and Software

Required proficiency in:

• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• SolidWorks
• KeyShot
•  

Working knowledge of:

• Adobe Acrobat
• Microsoft Office
• Sketchbook Pro
