Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable, hands-on Estate Manager to oversee a portfolio of four private residences across Northern California. This is a senior-level leadership opportunity for a professional who thrives in a dynamic, multi-property environment and leads through execution.

This is a “principal’s right hand” and owner’s representative role—ensuring each residence is impeccably maintained, fully staffed and stocked, and operating seamlessly at all times.
Residences & TravelThis role oversees four private homes, including:
Three residences in San Francisco
One residence in Lake Tahoe
Regular travel between properties is required, along with flexibility to support the principals’ schedule. Occasional overnight stays (approximately once per quarter) will be required during principal travel.
Position OverviewThe Estate Manager serves as the central point of oversight across all properties, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellence throughout the portfolio. This individual will manage vendors, supervise staff, and oversee all operational logistics while maintaining a hands-on presence when needed.
This is a highly autonomous role requiring sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise.
Key Responsibilities Estate & Property ManagementOversee day-to-day operations across all four residences
Manage property projects and renovations as needed
Ensure each home is maintained to the highest standards at all times
Oversee household inventories, provisioning, and organization
Coordinate preventative maintenance and ongoing property care
Supervise housekeepers and uphold accountability and quality standards
Manage all vendor relationships, including scheduling, oversight, and payments
Coordinate service providers to ensure seamless execution of work
Recruit, hire, and onboard additional staff as needed
Oversee household bill pay and expense tracking
Implement and maintain systems for organization and household readiness
Ensure all residences are fully prepared for principal and guest arrivals
Coordinate and book family travel in collaboration with the Personal Assistant
Provide occasional overnight support during principal travel (approximately once per quarter)
Assist with the planning and execution of 2–3 events per year
Oversee care for the family dog, including managing the dog trainer’s schedule
Provide occasional hands-on support as needed
Full-time, Live-out, salaried position
Flexibility required based on principals’ needs and travel schedule
Availability for occasional evenings and overnight coverage
Ability to travel occasionally between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe
$175,000- $250,000 annual salary, DOE

5+ years of Estate Manager or Director of Residences experience
Proven success managing multiple properties simultaneously
Highly autonomous with strong problem-solving capabilities
Flexible, adaptable, and able to pivot quickly in a dynamic environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage staff and vendors effectively
Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational systems
Discreet, polished, and professional in all interactions
Comfortable balancing high-level oversight with hands-on involvement
