Your Responsibilities - Performing thorough patient evaluations, initiating diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and treating acute, ongoing, or episodic health issues alongside physicians or independently (based on your credentials)
- Providing vital education to patients and their families on wellness, preventive care, and disease management
- Prescribing medication and therapies authorized by your practice scope
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Recording thoroughly and accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Criteria - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications - Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in New Jersey
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
