Responsibilities
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats of all breeds.
Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products.
Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions through proper handling and restraint techniques.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs, providing recommendations for care between visits.
Stay updated on the latest grooming trends and techniques to enhance service offerings.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Experience
Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; however, candidates with strong animal handling skills may be considered.
Previous experience in customer service is essential to ensure effective communication with pet owners.
Familiarity with veterinary technician duties or knowledge of animal care practices is a plus.
Experience in dog training or working in a kennel environment can enhance your qualifications for this role.
A background in equine care or other animal restraint techniques is beneficial but not required.
