Working closely with Pharmacists, our technicians are key to our unique team-based approach simplifying medicine management through trusted, quality relationships that consistenetly reduce the day-to-day burden for nurses and providers working in long-term facilties and clinics. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your skills and expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes. A successful technician is a motivated team player with a Pharmacy Technician License and a minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience. Key Responsibilites Include: Filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently in multi-dose packaging Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory and create prescription labels and place them on prescription containers Perform computer entry of prescription information including but not limited to: patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing, problem resolution Work in a cycle fill format Perform register activities Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy Qualifications: Pharmacy Technician License Minimum age of 18 years old and High School Diploma or Equivalant Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/ projects and work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines A customer service orientation, with professional communication skills Preferred Qualifications: PCTB Certification Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary: $17.00/hour Maximum Salary: $23.00/hour Health, life, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Holiday pay and paid time off Company Information: Horizon Pharmacy is a closed door pharmacy specializing in multi-dose packaging solutions and medication support for long-term care clients, partnering with clinics and facilities to deliver stable medication management. Horizon Pharmacy has both Full-Time and Part-Time postions with various hours/shifts avaialble (8-40 Hours per week), during our operating hours.
