We Are Proud To Offer Our Employees 401(k) Competitive Wages Apprenticeship and Comprehensive Training Programs Paid Holidays Upon Hire Competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance HSA with Employer Contribution Paid Time Off Company Paid Short-Term Disability & Life Insurance Safety Bonus Program Employee Stock Ownership Program Work Travel Incentive Holiday Bonus Responsibilities Weld pipe in accordance with customer needs and specifications Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle/length using pipe cutters and benders Copper brazing and soldering Threading and assembling pipe Prepare, fabricate, fit, weld and install pipe to specifications Install valves, hangers, supports and flanges in piping systems according to plans and applicable specifications Repair leaks in all types of pipe systems Assemble, install and repair piping systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment Requirements Able to position weld in field and in shop atmosphere Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial/industrial pipe welding Carbon steel stick 6G Carbon steel TIG 6G Stainless steel TIG 6G Assist in selecting pipe sizes, types, or related materials, such as supports, or hangers according to specifications Cut or bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, or mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand or power tools Assisting with the installation of piping systems Has basic brazing and soldering experience Assist with job layout Working knowledge of all types of piping systems Must have the ability to read and interpret a written scope of work Perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools Must be able to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function and safely use power tools and hand tools Preferred Requirements Confined space entrant PVC prep and glue Blueprint reading Confined space attendant/supervisor Hot work Tube bending Pipe grooving Megapress to 4″ Propress to 4″ Fall protection Lockout tagout Knowledge of mechanical & plumbing code MIG Equipment & Tool Experience Aerial lift Operation – Boom & Scissor Lift Forklift Operation – Material Handling up to 8000 lb Telehandler Setup/adjust welding machines and equipment, independently Hot tap (Preferred) Chauffeur LIC/Med DOT Physical (Preferred) Trailer Loading and Securing of Material (Preferred) Rigging Requirements Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials Utilize and understand the constraints of chains, synthetic, metal mesh, and wire rope slings Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines Identifies common load configurations & positioning Rigger 1 training – trains on above Physical Requirements Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height Work in permit & non‑permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 lb regularly/occasionally Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces Must be able to work in cold/hot environments Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, and nothing in this herein restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
