THE ROLE:

  • Shift: 3rd Shift *Various Shifts - Accepting Applications*
  • Employment Category: Full Time - Temporary; 6 to 9 and/or 12+ month assignment
  • Pay Range: $19.10-$22.75/hr.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

This job contributes to Evolution Fresh success by ensuring that all production equipment is properly cleaned and that the facility meets all Food Regulatory Standards

  • Responsible for detail cleaning of processing equipment including, production utensils, tanks, conveyors, overhead pipes, cooling units, walls, floors, drains, ceiling etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining outside waste area and perimeter
  • Must use the 7 steps to effective wet wash during cleaning to maintain Food Safety and Pest Control
  • Must comply with all company and quality policies and chemical and safety procedures
  • May be required to assemble and disassemble processing equipment
  • Work in a timely manner to return production areas and equipment back to production
  • Responsible for transporting trash and other waste for disposal
  • Able to communicate problems or concerns with appropriate personnel
  • Wear all proper protective equipment during sanitation cleaning
  • Ability to learn equipment systems or use HMI screens to stop, start, and purge equipment

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School/GED or one to two years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to safely use sanitation chemicals (soaps, sanitizers, acids) and understands Safety Data Sheets (SDS), GMPs, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and standard cleaning methods.
  • Knowledge of sanitation equipment and tools, including but not limited to, Lockout/Tagout procedures and safe practices when working around moving machinery.
  • Willingness to learn, follow safety protocols and adapt to change in a team-based environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organizational and problem solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and follow instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility, including potential shift changes, weekends, and overtime as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • May be required to become certified in forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, or electric pallet jack certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. in an occasional manner.
  • Must be able to grasp with fingers and hand for extended periods of time in a repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to use 3-points of contact when climbing or descending stairs.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend at knees, and/or crouch in a repetitive manner.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in environmental exposure including, but not limited to, freezer and noisy, cold, wet, or humid conditions of 34&degree;F or below.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic, and/or caustic chemicals.
  • Occasional material exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
