Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant (CPA preferred) to elevate and modernize accounting operations within a growing multi-entity real estate brokerage and media organization operating across multiple states.
We have an internal bookkeeping team managing payroll and real estate agent 1099 commissions. This role provides financial oversight, automation leadership, tax preparation, entity management, reporting structure, and process optimization across multiple entities operating under one centralized umbrella.
As we expand into new markets, we are focused on strengthening month-end discipline, improving financial visibility, and aggressively modernizing our accounting systems through AI-driven automation and integration.
This role grows as the company grows. More entities, more markets, more complexity — that's the trajectory. We're looking for someone who sees growth as part of the job, not a reason to renegotiate.
This is a full-time W-2 position and is at-will employment.

Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Month-End Close
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting documentation
• Lead and maintain a consistent 10-day month-end close process
• Reconcile operating, credit card, and trust accounts
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting
• Maintain audit-ready financial records year-round
AI & Automation Leadership (Core Priority)
• Identify and implement AI-powered automation within accounting workflows
• Use AI tools to reduce manual data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks
• Optimize QuickBooks Online processes using AI integrations and scripting
• Support integration and optimization of SkySlope Books
• Build automated reporting dashboards for leadership
• Strengthen internal controls through AI-enhanced system improvements
• Improve multi-entity reporting through structured, scalable, AI-assisted systems
• Stay current on emerging AI accounting tools and recommend adoption where appropriate
• AI adoption and automation are not optional in this role. We are seeking someone who actively replaces inefficient processes with measurable system improvements using modern technology, including AI.
Revenue Share & Commission Payout Oversight
• Oversee and manage multi-tier revenue share (MLM-style) payout structures across agents and recruiting chains
• Ensure accurate calculation and timely monthly distribution of tiered recruiting payouts based on agent production
• Track agent production thresholds, cap status, and payout eligibility across multiple markets
• Reconcile revenue share payouts against gross commission income per transaction
• Work with compliance and operations to ensure payout accuracy when agents onboard, leave, or hit cap
• Develop reporting and dashboards for revenue share payout visibility at the agent and leadership level
• Coordinate with bookkeeping on 1099 reporting for both commission and revenue share payouts
Tax Preparation & Entity Management
• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for multiple entities (partnerships, LLCs, DBAs)
• Manage quarterly estimated tax payments and annual filings
• Ensure compliance with multi-state tax obligations as we expand
• Form new business entities (LLCs, DBAs) and manage state registrations, amendments, and annual reports
• Coordinate with registered agents and state Secretaries of State offices
• Maintain entity records including EINs, operating agreements, and formation documents
• Advise leadership on entity structure, tax strategy, and implications of expansion
