Salon Assistant

Sharkey's Cuts for Kids - Bristow, VA, is looking for an upbeat and friendly Salon Assistant to work Saturdays and Sundays. Relaxed staff in a fun and fast paced environment. Job responsibilities include:

1. Shampoo clients, occasionally blow dry, and paint nails
2. Assist stylists to allow for smooth transitions during the work day
3. Vacuum sanitize and prepare salon chairs for new clients throughout the day.
4. Sweep, clean, laundry, fold towels

Other responsibilities may include:

• Must have a passion for being around kids and client service
• Possess strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and listening skills
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to business needs
• Reliable and available to work weekends
• Assist with other salon maintenance and some light receptionist duties, as required.

Salon Assistant qualifications:

• Positive and can do attitude!
• Reliability, timeliness, and consistency.
• Prior salon experience is a plus.
• Ability to interact with kids and their parents in a friendly manner

Requirements:

• Customer service experience
• Wear a smile and be available on weekends
• Cosmetology license optional
