Surgery Scheduler

Our multi-specialty orthopedic clinics have additional convenient services such as Pain Management, Physical & Hand Therapy, Athletic Performance, X-ray and MRI, InstantOrtho a Walk in Clinic for Urgent Orthopedic Conditions and more! As a Surgery Scheduler with OrthoArizona, you will get to:

  • Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule surgeries.
  • Communicate necessary information to patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Verify necessary information and records information in patient's medical record.
  • Coordinate necessary equipment, surgical assists, and anesthesia relative to surgeries.
  • Maintain and updates physician's calendars.
  • Answer telephone, screens calls, clears voicemail, returns patient calls in a timely manner.
  • Answer questions regarding patient's upcoming surgeries.
  • Update patient information.
  • Prepare surgical packet materials.
  • Assist in training and orienting of new staff.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understand/Perform training on practice management software.
  • Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1-year experience of medical scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience surgery scheduling.
