Job Description

Game Designer Role As a game designer at Booz Allen, you’ll leverage leadership and data science expertise to create real‑world impact. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, dig into data‑rich environments for insights, guide teammates, and lead the development of algorithms and systems. You’ll combine tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into actionable answers and provide a deep understanding of data and its potential uses. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining. 5+ years of experience with statistical and general‑purpose programming languages for data analysis and analyzing structured and unstructured data sources. Experience in modeling and simulation environments and with game design. Experience with scripting or automation using C++ programming language. Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, visualization of targeted data sources, and solutions to complex problems. Experience with commercial tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Discourse, Overleaf, GitLab, GitLab Runners, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Ansys products, Teamwork Cloud, MATLAB, Fortify, McAfee ePO, Splunk, or Nessus. Ability to communicate succinctly at the strategic level to senior leaders while maintaining technical credibility under scrutiny. Ability to participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transform requirements into technical solutions. TS/SCI clearance. Bachelor’s degree. Nice to Have Experience supporting the Department of Defense operations, Joint Staff, Service Component, or Combatant Command operations and activities. Experience working in a joint operational environment and with the interagency. Experience with war gaming. Experience with war‑related or political games. Knowledge of game engines. Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills. Master’s degree in a relevant field. Compensation The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). This is one component of the total compensation package. Full‑time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs.
