Job Description
The Department of Radiology at the ICAHN school of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H + H/Queens is seeking a full time Interventional Radiologist to provide coverage at Queens Hospital Center (QHC), Jamaica, New York. We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated and talented candidate to join our team.
Responsibilities will entail help in covering Interventional radiology (50 %) and Diagnostic radiology (50%) at Queens Hospital Center.
The Radiology Department at QHC performs approximately 130K studies per year. The Department has 2 state of the Art 128 slice CT scanners, a Pet/CT scanner, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, ultrasound, Diagnostic x-rays/Fluoroscopy suites and Nuclear medicine.
The Interventional Radiology (IR) department is well developed and our IR Suite has been upgraded to a State of the Art GE machine. The candidate will be joining another Interventional radiologist to provide services. The interventional department provides a variety of services, most common are venous access, non-vascular procedures/biopsies, visceral and Pulmonary interventions. The IR department is supported by 3 Nurses, one technologist and a full time Physician Assistant.
New York City H + H/Queens, an acute care facility, is part of the largest municipal healthcare system in the country and serves the most culturally diverse in the world with a wide spectrum of medical conditions.
Successful candidates must be Board certified/eligible in radiology/Interventional Radiology and have successfully completed a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology. The candidate must be licensed to practice in the State of New York. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with years of service and accomplishment.
