Medical Assistant
Reports to: Center Administrator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position SummaryThe Medical Assistant supports the clinical team by providing direct patient care assistance for a pediatrics office, performing clinical and administrative duties, and ensuring efficient patient flow. This role requires accuracy, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills to assist both patients and providers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and document medical history.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer immunizations and medications as directed by providers.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with infection control standards.
• Support front office operations as needed to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting strongly preferred.
• Experience working with Medicaid populations preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
CompensationMinimum: $17/hour
Midpoint: $20/hour
Maximum: $23/hour
