Role summary for the Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS): to promote Pfizer's product portfolio to health care providers and specialists, educate the healthcare community regarding appropriate use of Pfizer products, and engage with accounts and organized customers to help improve patients' experience and overall quality of patient care. The SOAS links an insightful assessment of the account and/or business landscape with a strong understanding of Pfizer's products and resources to increase Pfizer's brand with high-value target customers. Responsibilities Promote broad portfolio of products; strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products Develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to drive achievement of objectives; strategic account selling and management Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts Maintain relationships throughout institutions; overcome obstacles to access health care providers and customers Cultivate relationships with KOLs and top priority customers Assess needs of target physicians/accounts; address needs with a responsive approach, targeted skills, and appropriate resources Demonstrate superior selling, technical, and relationship-building skills Engage, influence and support customers throughout the selling process; communicate effectively with diverse audiences Adapt quickly to new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment Work effectively in a matrix environment and leverage multiple resources to meet customer needs and deliver results Qualifications Basic Qualifications BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution OR an associate's degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary Valid US driver's license and driving record in compliance with company standards. Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired Minimum of 4 years of previous Pharmaceutical Sales experience or 4 years of Oncology Healthcare Professional (HCP) experience with key Oncology thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations Demonstrated track record of success with pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience Exceptional aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information Demonstrated high degree of business acumen Proficiency using complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer's technology model Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of Oncology sales experience Master's Degree Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) Degree Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers and Key Opinion Leaders Functional / Technical Skills Promote broad portfolio of products; deep knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products Deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations) Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts Strategic account selling and management; develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to drive objectives Maintain relationships throughout institutions Overcome obstacles to gain access to difficult-to-see health care providers and customers Cultivate relationships with KOLs; build lasting relationships with top priority customers Assess needs of target physicians/accounts; address needs with a responsive approach and resources Superior selling, technical and relationship-building skills Engage, influence and support customers throughout the selling process; excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to learn and embrace new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment Work in a matrix environment and leverage multiple resources to meet customer needs and deliver results Other Details Last Day to Apply: March 23, 2026 Territory includes but not limited to: Tacoma WA, Spokane WA, Idaho and Montana Relocation might be offered Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary for this position ranges from $108,600 - $250,700. During initial new hire sales training, you will be classified as a salary non-exempt employee which entitles you to overtime pay. Upon certification, you will become an overtime exempt employee. The position offers an additional Sales Incentive bonus. Benefits include a 401(k) with Pfizer Matching Contributions and additional Pfizer Retirement Savings Contribution, paid vacation, holidays, personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits (medical, prescription, dental, vision).
